Self-Help Handouts
KSOG adapted. Dr. Mimi Hoang adapted the well-known Klein Sexual Orientation Grid (Klein, 1987) after completing her dissertation in 2006 in which she created a survey to measure bisexual identity congruence. The changes she made to the original KSOG consist of adding "bisexual" in the scoring key for dimensions F (Lifestyle) and G (Self-Identification), such that a 4 for Lifestyle = "Straight/Gay equally or Bisexual," and a 3 for Self-Identification = Straight/Bisexual, a 4 = "Bisexual," and 5 = "Gay/Bisexual." Dr. Mimi also added descriptors to the seven sexuality dimensions to help users better understand how to complete the KSOG.
